Update on Zimbabwe

STEVE AND GRACE UPDATE re Zimbabwe:

Due to the development of the project and visa situation I will be going alone to Zimbabwe on Nov 8th for a month and a half to get the project going. The last word we had in regards to our residence permit and work visa is that it has cleared the Immigration department, but it is now caught up in the Labour department. I will have to go to Harare on my own to retrieve the visas. In the mean time I can enter the country alone on a business visa which can be obtained at the port of entry.
At this time there is a limited amount of Project money available, but it is adequate to build a permanent security fence, and connect water and sewer. These are Harare, Zimbabwe By-Law requirements to be completed before the city will even accept our building drawings for approval and building permit. Then the drawings have to go through the 8 different departments for approval which can take a while. This will most likely coincide with additional finances being available for this project that are currently being raised throughout ACOP churches in Canada. Another reason for going at this time has to do with networking with another organization that will have a team working with us in Harare. They will be finishing one project and they are looking for another to get involved with.
So going alone at this time is based on what would be the best stewardship of time, money, and the situation at hand.
