Fellowship & Thanksgiving
Posted in Cousart Bulletin on 01/30/2008 03:20 am by Ellen CousartHello everyone, Dagdagan ko lang yung sinabi ni Wally.
It has been almost 2 weeks since Arcelie’s death, and after all that has happened I believe we still have lots & lots to be thankful for, let’s make sure to attend our February 3rd fellowship. We have invited our Pastors (Pastor Len, Pastor Fenn & their wives), Gina & Jessie Williams, Peter & Anne (they oversee all the cell groups in church), & others. If I can just request you to bring a little bit more food than what you would normally bring.
Future Projects:
1) Tess has volunteered to design/ create a website for our group. The 1st step in doing so is come up with the name of the website. Tess suggests that is should not contain the name of the church, but she can set it up such that whoever googles the name of the church or looking for a Filipino Bible Study group, lalabas yung name natin. Or if we want to keep it a private website na tayo (our group) lang ang may access, she can also do that. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail it to me and then on Sunday, Feb 3rd, puede tayong mag-decide or vote for the name that we want. Sabi ni Tess, once we have the domain name, mahirap ng palitan kaya dapat it is a name that we really like, or really love!
Some suggestions:
www.psalm91.com
www.pinoybiblereaders.com
www.pinoys4jesus.com
By the way, Wally, our kids & I have volunteered to help in maintaining & updating the website. Tess will provide us training on this. Anyone who wants to help is welcomed! Just let me know.
2) Slumbook
I know ginawa lang natin ito nung high school, but I realized after this happened, we don’t really know a lot about each other, kahit we see each other every Sunday. But usually it’s just hi & hello, di ba? There will be some information na mandatory (name, birthday, birthplace, etc.), others will be optional (favorite color, favorite Bible verse, etc.). So kung ayaw ninyong i-share yung ibang information, okey lang yon. But still the more we know each other, the better. Tapos, we will give a hard copy to everyone & we will update whenever new people come in. Yung ayaw mag-participate for their own personal reasons, okay lang din, pero hindi sila mabibigyan ng kopya. We will ensure that all information will be kept confidential w/in our group.
3) Scrapbook
I have kept some news clippings on Arcelie which I hope to put together in a scrapbook. hindi ako marunong mag-scrapbook but I can always research. I may have to ask some of you for some pictures na puedeng ilagay sa scrapbbok, or if you can copy it on a CD and I can have it printed. I’m also missing some newspaper articles!
Hindi ko alam kung kelan ko sisimulan, at kung may gustong tumulong, again you’re welcome to help. At this time, hindi ko alam kung ibibigay sa kapatid, sa mga anak, or if we want to keep it. Let’s pray for that.
4) Let’s continue to pray for the accused, his 1st court appearance is this Friday, as far as I know mag-pe-plead sya kung Guilty or not Guilty. Let’s continue to pray for the husband & kids that they will not harbor bitterness in their hearts and still feel the love of Jesus in this difficult time, and that they as a family serve the Lord as their Arcelie would have wanted them! Let’s also pray that the donations received will be administered as it should be and serve the purpose for which it was collected, to help the funeral expenses, and what’s left for the children’s education.
Sigue, sign off na ako as your “official e-mail correspondent”.
Back on the job na si Wally!
God bless,
Ellen
