Prayer Requests & Praises - June 2nd, 2008
Please pray for the following. Let us lift our voices and petitions to the Lord that He may hear our prayers…The prayer of a righteous man availeth much…James 5:1
- Our hearfelt condolonces to Dave and Tess Rupprecht and family for the passing of Dave’s dad, Karl Rupprecht on May 14th. May the God of peace and comfort be with them as they go through this difficult time. We are sad with their loss but we rejoice in the knowledge that he is now with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven to spend eternity in His holy presence.
- Let us lift one of our sisters in Christ, Dulce, as she is going through a difficult time in her life. We pray that she will truly forgive the person who has hurt her and take away any trace of bitterness in her heart; and that she will be able to forgive herself for some wrong decisions she made. May the Lord heal her heart that she may claim the good future that the Lord has prepared for her.
- Pray for Rhose Buatis missionary friend, Ken Blundell, who is diagnosed with a BRAIN TUMOR CANCER and is terminal. He is going to have an operation/surgery on June 15 in a Vancouver hospital. Vicki, Ken’s wife, has asked Rhose for prayers. This couple sponsored Rhose to come here in Canada. Let us bind our hearts together as we petition our Lord for His healing touch and miraculous power upon Ken’s body. As Rhose wrote: “This family is very especial to me and they have been my family here in Canada since then. I know God is our healer and I just leave everything to God as I believe He is in control of this.”
- Continue to pray for Lisa Smith’s Auntie Marlyn who recently had a breast cancer surgery. She has fully recovered and is now waiting for the next treatment. Please continue to pray for the rest of the treatment she has to undergo that it will be successful ,too and that God will be always with her and the Doctor’s during the next phase. Please pray also that God will also touch her heart that she may know Jesus Christ as their Lord & Saviour.
- Timmy Sapa for her upcoming midterm and final examination on her Taxation course. May the Lord fill her with all the knowledge that she may be able to pass the exams and also the strength to endure the rigors of study while at the same time working.
- Praises for Noemi Cruz who was complaining for stomach pain last week that Doctors are having a problem diagnosing. After last Sunday’s Bible Study, her stomach pain was gone. Let us pray for the results of her MRI that it will give her Doctor some lead on the real problem.
- Continue to pray for Juliette Medrano who will undergo a kidney stone surgery in the Philippines. The surgery has not been scheduled yet. Let us pray that the Lord will prepare her and the family physically, emotionally and financially. Guide all the Doctors and nurses who will be with her during the operation and for a complete healing and full recovery. Juliette is the wife of Jeff Medrano who is an officemate of Mary Jane Barroza (Wally’s sister).
- Continue to pray for Clena and Lisa’s upcoming wedding that there will be no problem along the way and it will be a beautiful wedding to remember for both of them.
- Continue to pray for Wally’s nephew, Angelo, who have passed his examination at Macdonald’s in the Philippines and still waiting for the result of his final interview. Pray the he will be able to get the job.
Praises and thanksgiving for the following:
- Kyle and his baseball team (including coaches, officials, parents, friends and other teams) had a wonderful time in the Edmonton tounament and they won 4th place.
- Wally’s Uncle Boy and Auntie Naty and their group are back in the US after a successful mission trip in the Philippines.
