Dear Special Friend …
Posted in Reading Room on 07/27/2008 06:19 pm by Tess RupprechtThis is an original post dedicated to a very special friend. Out of respect for his privacy, I would leave his name out. It is our prayer that you will give Jesus a chance to show His personal love for you!

Dear Special Friend,
After I learned about your condition, I wanted to email you but I don’t know what to say. I mean, I wanted to tell you this but I am not sure how you will take it. But now, I knew that I need to tell you ” this” no matter what. But let me tell you that I only wanted to share this since as a friend I truly care about you and I love you dearly since you are someone whom I knew like a brother. We are not that close but you will always be very special to me. You belong to those fondest memories which I would cherish for the rest of my life.
So please don’t find what I wrote below as offensive or intrusive of your privacy.
Have you ever invited Jesus into your life? Seriously, have you? I am only asking since He is our only hope in hopeless situations. I am a witness to a lot of his miracles in healing people who are very sick. But more than anything else, we can have an assurance of eternal salvation if we believe in Him. All of us are just passing through this life, una una lang naman tayo, but what happens after life here on earth is more important. I used to ask what is my purpose in life? Why am I here? When I became a Christian, my eyes were opened as to why. Everything I need to know is in the Bible. That small book has been inspired by God so that we can have a successful and meaningful existence in this world.
I admire you as someone very intellectual and I have always seen the goodness in you that some may have missed. Right now, all I want to do is hug you and tell you that everything will be ok as long as we believe in Him.
I don’t want to sound too preachy, ayaw ko ding magagalit ka sa akin just because of this. But if you want to know more, I can explain more. I can even call you if you allow me.
My family and I will continually pray for His best will in your life. I pray for the Lord to restore your health but more than anything else, I pray that He will open your mind so that you will know the truth and that this truth may set you free. Right now, I affirm wholeness, recognizing the life of God is generating physical renewal within you.
“Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.”—Mark 11:23
With God’s blessings,
Tess
