Subject: Sarah Fenn Praise Update Oct 3
Date: Fri, 3 Oct 2008 12:54:45 -0600

Dear Family,

God is continuing to show Himself strong on Sarah’s behalf in her extraordinary post-surgical recovery. I just spoke with Pastor Fenn and Jim, and they report that this morning the doctors were able to take Sarah off morphine and put her on just regular pain killers.  Yesterday they were told that she would be in ICU for 48 hours, however, Sarah is doing so well that they are moving her out to the general ward today! Most of the tubing (IV, catheter, etc.) will also be removed today and she will be able to sit up in a chair later this afternoon.  As Pastor and Jim said, “she is doing incredibly well”.  Jim says that she is in good spirits and is able to roll her eyes at his corny jokes once again.

Yet, there are some areas we ask you to continue to pray for Sarah:

1. that the heart drainage tube would not be needed and would be removed asap (this is causing Sarah some pain)

2. Sarah is currently on drugs to lower her blood pressure - her heart had grown accustomed to beating very hard to overcome the blockage and continues to do so even though the blockage has been removed.  The doctors say that when the heart realizes it doesn’t have to work so hard it will self-regulate back to normal. Please pray that the heart would slow down to normal and that Sarah would be able to come off the blood pressure medication soon.

3. pray against infection and set-backs

Please also pray for Shari and Jim, Pastor and Mrs. Fenn, Bruce and Sandi White, as well as the rest of Sarah’s family and friends who are understandably exhausted at this time.

Lord, we praise You for Sarah’s journey of recovery that is simply astounding — truly, nothing is too hard for You. Continue to meet her at her point of need — bring about a healing that is above and beyond all that we could ask or think: relieve the pain, lay Your hand upon her heart and quiet it to a normal pace, regulate her blood pressure, shield her from infection, guard her from set-backs.  Lord, we ask You to complete the good work in Sarah that You have begun.  Surround her now with Your peace and presence.  Amen.

Lord, also give supernatural comfort and strength to her family, especially Shari and Jim, at this time.  Lord we love this family and know that You do too.  Meet the needs that they have not shared, that only You know about.  To You be the glory, forever and always.  Amen
