2009 Junior High Retreat by Krystin Cousart

Published by Ellen Cousart at 6:42 am under Cousart Bulletin

This year we went to Veteran, Alberta for our Jr. High youth retreat. It was a camp, which literally looked like a field with buildings on it. We slept in cabins that became really cold at night so you had to sleep with lots of layers of clothes. The water in the toilets, taps, and showers were brown. Even though it wasn’t quite what I expected it was still pretty fun.

There we played games and went to a few services. My favourite game was playing life-sized Dutch Blitz. We also played other games like capture the flag. Another game we played involved a lot of games put in one. I enjoyed playing these games. During the weekend we went to services. We learned that we should be dependent in God. This means that when we need or want something we should just ask Him and He will provide.
