Kostamo family news brief- a prayer request
Hello everyone,
We just want to let you all know that Steve is back home here in Prince George City (Canada) yesterday evening (23rd March’08). He is happy to be back in the civilization ;-). Our four kids and I are happy to see him too that he is home safely.
Anyway, we are asking your prayer support for Steve today because he came home feeling really sick. He is having a malaria. I pray it would not last long as a week. It is a tropical african sickness when you are bitten by a mosquito that carries such virus. The symptoms are chills, lost appetite-lost of weight, diarhea, shiverring, fever, severe headache, feeling weak, & throwing up- all happens at the same time as it progress in your system. It takes about at least 1 week - the shortest. Some people would get it longer than 2-3 weeks which is very risky and deadly especially if your immune system is very weak to fight such sickness. This is NOT contagious. A person will only get it if he/she is bitten by the same mosquito or a Malaria carrier mosquito that transport it thru your blood system.
So please pray for Steve that God would pour his healing power in and thru him in this moment of time. We are currently taking care of him at home here (myself and the kids) giving him some chicken soup, tea with honey; and the kids and I are giving him a reflexology massage as well. Steve is in bed rest and feeling jet lag too.
We thank you all for faithfully praying for him while he is there in Zimbabwe and his returning home.
Thank you for your support! We will give you more updates later on about his 4 weeks trip in Zimbabwe.
Love,
Grace and kids for Steven Kostamo
