Highlights of My Regina Retreat by Krystin Cousart

As most of you might know I recently went to Regina, Saskatchewan for a youth retreat. This retreat was somewhat like the Eston retreat but it had different sermons. I stayed at a very nice couples house that opened their home to 6 other girls and I. I would like to thank the Lord for providing us with nice billets and a nice place to stay.

I learned a lot on this retreat and made many friends who took me to the mall, Value Village and Salvation Army. Making these friends made my time there a lot more fun. I believe that  my relationship with God is stronger and closer after this experience.

Brief summaries of what we learned in the sermons are in the following. Our guest speaker was a man named Steve Williams from England and for the past years he has been working for an organization called Life Force. We did lots of worship and had evening services. We learned about not wasting your life and that whatever we do we should do it for God because we only spend a small portion of our lives on earth and then we spend eternity in heaven. We learned about worship painting and how there are different ways of worshiping besides singing.

There was a whole service about healing. We learned that when Jesus died on the cross for us he took away our sins and sicknesses. All the sicknesses that we have and all the sins we have are taken away because of what Jesus did for us. On the last night we learned about Street Invaders, which is an organization that takes people 13-20 years old to different parts of Canada and other parts of the world to evangelize.  That was my youth retreat.
